The Baltimore Sun reports that the sale of paper, cans, and bottles collected from our recycling bins saved taxpayers $5 million last year. Saving the county money helps keep our taxes in check. That's the good news.
The bad news is that residents are only recycling about a quarter of the recyclable items. That means 75% of recyclables were tossed in the trash!
