Parking etiquette

We've had some recent parking complaints, particularly at Timber Point and Long Brick Row, that some residents are parking too many cars or are taking up multiple spaces with one car.

Parking is tight in Oella. Please do not store extra vehicles, please do not take up multiple spaces with one vehicle, and please consider your neighbors when making parking decisions.

Finally, non-HOA residents who are not guests of residents are not permitted to park in HOA-owned lots. A number of non-HOA people have been parking in the Long Brick Row lot to access the river, and their vehicles will be tagged with violation notices and towed if they do not display the appropriate parking permits.

Please post the official board parking resolution (date board voted on it and official resolution number). Does the HOA have the proper Maryland state designated signage in all the HOA lots? Also include the board resolution that provides what towing authority they (Board) have and notice they must provide prior to towing any vehicle.

Parking policies and resolutions were sent to each homeowner previously and are available at the HOA website. Too long for a blog comment. The HOA maintains control over HOA-common areas, including parking lots. All signage and towing is accordance with the law as provided by the towing company. The management company handles towing notices and towing, all in accordance with the law.

You are welcome.

We've had to have people fished out of the river on occasion. Luckily, they were unharmed.
